Langridge Walnut Oil

Langridge Walnut Oil is cold-pressed using walnuts and then lightly refined. It is a clear, pale yellow oil that is odourless. As a thin oil, it is used to make oil paint more fluid. it can generally incorporate more pigment as a binder and it yellows less than linseed oil, but more than safflower oil it is good for making pale oil colours. Walnut oil dries more slowly than linseed oil, drying in four or five days. It is said to have a less tendency to crack than linseed oil

• Very pale yellow brown oil
• Excellent resistance to yellowing and cracking
• Yellows less than linseed oil over time
• Also works as an effective brush cleaner that helps retain moisture in brush hairs
• Dries faster than safflower and poppy oils but is equally favoured for using with whites and pale blue hues
